I cannot say this in any stronger words – Nilay is one of the best undergraduate presenters that I have observed in my 22 years as a professor. Nilay is an international student from India who has developed skills in aural presentation that have actually taught me new ideas. In fact, I asked him to give a special talk to all of our 160 research students on how to prepare a research talk.

Having served on numerous corporate and non-profit boards as well as directing the University of Alabama’s honors programs during my career, I have seen countless presentations. But never have I ever seen one as great as the one that Nilay gave to UA's Honors College Board of Visitors in Spring 2024. It was completely captivating while conveying just the information necessary.  Afterwards, there was an audible "WOW"!

I first sat-in on one of Nilay’s PowerPoint presentations at Harvard’s National Collegiate Research Conference, and was immediately impressed. The visuals, movement, and logical structure of his presentation were engaging and presented the material in a way that a non-expert could understand and become excited about. Nilay graciously taught me some techniques to improve my own PowerPoint skill set, and I later incorporated these techniques into my thesis talk. With certainty, I can say that Nilay crafts the most effective PowerPoints I have seen!

I had the pleasure of attending a presentation by Nilay, one of our exceptional Randall Research Scholars at the University of Alabama Honors College, and it was nothing short of remarkable. Nilay's PowerPoint presentations are not only visually compelling but also incredibly clear and sophisticated. The attention to detail and the use of visuals to enhance the narrative make his work stand out. When he presented to our Board of Visitors, his presentation was unanimously regarded as one of the highlights of the day. Nilay's ability to convey complex information in an engaging and accessible manner is truly impressive.
